    Central Gardens of UCO

    March 10, 2015

If you are looking for a garden stroll, college campuses are often a great place to find inspiration.  You may be surprised by what you see at the University of Central Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, where the horticultural team has built a delightful collection of gardens.  Pocket gardens feature unique themes or plant material and the main thoroughfare of campus is planted with a teaching arboretum.  You will find educational signs to help interpret the plantings and identify plant material.  The horticulturalists have incorporated a great diversity of plant material, not your standard foundation plantings.  To add to the beauty, sculptures are incorporated throughout the gardens.  Stop by for a visit next time you are in the area.
